Pumpkin was taken in by S.O.S. after being called out to look at a horse that was lying in a pasture and couldn’t get up.  Because his owner was elderly, he was unable to care for Pumpkin.  Pumpkin had foundered, causing his feet to be too painful to walk to food or water.  Pumpkin had a few good weeks of love and good care before the damage from long term neglect got the better of him.  He was humanely euthanized and buried at Doris’s farm.
